Excellent Scratch website

Postby shawt » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:26 am

I have found a very useful website, whcih I have used in class and to teach myself 'Scratch'

http://learnscratch.org/index.php?optio ... Itemid=247

They even kindly sent me a dvd with the whole website on, so I have been able to run the videos in house rather than streaming them.

All the best

Hi there,
my stydents are experiencing problems with saving their work. They cannot get it back and it seems that they waste their time. Do you know anything how to save the work properly? Also, how we do more than 1 backgrounds to create different scenes? I would be very grateful if you could share your knowledge on this.

Thnks a lot!

HI,

Some of my students also had difficulty saving, where they would save their work but when re-opening it an error message saying 'bad header' would come up. Is your's the same? I found out its due to the version of scratch you've downloaded. The 1.2 version causes the problem, so if you download the latest 1.3 version it all works fine. Hope that helps.
