Animation Competition

We can only accept entries created using Alice, Scratch or Flash.

Regarding Flash, to be clear: we can only accept Flash animations created using Adobe Flash (or authored directly in Flash using some other 3rd-party software). We cannot accept animations created using some other system (for example: Serif Draw Plus), which are then saved in Flash .swf file format.

We're restricting the systems to Alice / Scratch / Flash in order to place some boundaries on the competition, and to provide some consistency in the nature of the entries we receive. We have widened this from the 2008 competition, in which we only accepted Alice.

We realise that these arrangements will not suit all schools, and we are sorry that some teachers and students will be disappointed that they are ineligible to enter the 2009 competition. However, we will of course reconsider the arrangements for the next, 2010, competition. But I am afraid for 2009 we shall be sticking to Alice, Scratch and Flash.
