Manchester is very well connected by train and plane. Have a look at our map to see where the relevant train stations are. Manchester Airport is the busiest airport in the UK outside the London area.
Should you arrive at Manchester Airport, you can get rather fast, cheap, and  conveniently to Manchester Oxford Road by train. This is advised particularly during rush hour. Outside rush hour, you may want to pick up one of the black cabs that wait outside the terminal: it will cost about 24 GBP to take you to the IJCAR location, please ask for University of Manchester, Precinct Center on Oxford Road (Precinct Center is connected to Kilburn Building and is more familiar to taxi drivers).

Finally, if you walk around, please make sure you are careful when crossing roads: traffic runs on the left hand side, and many drivers feel they have some built-in right of way over pedestrians.
